You are you, embrace it! I understand that you are you’re own worst critic, I get it. But your kids love you the way you are! Your kids want to be in the pictures WITH you. They don’t care about the extra weight you’re carrying from that last baby or the holidays, they don’t see that when they look back at photos of their childhood. They see their mom, who means more to them than anyone else in the world, playing with them, loving them, creating memories with them.
Stop avoiding the camera! Stop criticizing yourself! Stop complaining about your smile, your bottom, that “this angle makes me look fat”.
I’m not going to edit you to make you thinner, younger and someone you’re not. I’m not a magazine cover photographer! I’m a family photographer. We all have flaws, we all are self conscious. But we are all human, too. No one looks like those magazine covers (not even the model!) so stop comparing yourselves! And let’s not give our daughters the impression that they aren’t good enough the way they are, either….
You are their Momma and I promise you they love just as you are!
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
— Psalm 139:14
