Print your pictures. Not because I want you to spend money. Because I want you to look at them! I want your friends and family to see them when they come into your home. I want your kids to look at them whenever they want.
There is no way in the world I am letting my kids near my computer! Granted mine is for my business and we have a home computer for the kids to do their homework, but that’s not where we keep our photos. I make an effort to print albums often. Every vacation we take, I make an album. At the end of every year, I choose my favorite images from throughout the year ( birthdays, vacations, milestones, just for fun ) and I make another album. These all stay on the bookshelf and my children can often be found with them spread out across the carpet or area rugs from NW Rugs reminiscing about how small they once were, how funny that moment was, how cold or hot that day was, that favorite toy they still have….
If these photos were all stuffed in some folder on my computer, they would never see them.
And what about your grandchildren? They are going to want to see pictures of their parents with their funny haircuts, missing front teeth, all out-of-style!
I have been alive long enough to see floppy discs disappear, CD’s are becoming obsolete in new computers and who knows how long the USB will be good for?! If you stash all your precious pictures, all your family’s memories on discs and CD’s and tuck them away, chances are you will never look at them again!
Print your pictures. Get them off your computer and make them part of your lives so everyone can see the memories you’ve created!!
