- Nitzevet [NIT-ZEH-VET], although she was one of Jesse’s wives, she switched places with a servant girl who Jesse intended to marry, and then became pregnant with David; this deception caused both she and David to be treated as outcasts within the family
- Yes; each of the ten plagues are meant to show the power of God and the powerlessness of the Egyptian gods and goddesses; for example, the first plague in which the Nile River was turned to blood, targets Hapi, the Egyptian god of the Nile and also Osiris, the Egyptian god whose bloodstream was believed to be the Nile
